TRE (Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises) Training held in Salt Lake City, Utah  |  June & Sept ’24, Jan ’25

Note: Module 1 is open to the public and it can be taken as a personal exploration by anyone who is interested in a deeper immersion in the tremor mechanism.

M2 and M3 are only open to trainees who attended Module 1 and who are enrolled in the TRE Global Certification Program. Enrollment in the program takes place after M1.

Module 1 – June 29 & 30 2024 ~ 10am – 5:30pm  (90 minute lunch break)

The first module introduces the anatomy, neurology, physiology, and psychology of stress and trauma as they relates to TRE and the tremoring process. Participants learn about the latest research on the nervous system and also containment, grounding, and self-regulating strategies. This is an experiential training with a strong focus on the trainee’s personal tremoring experience.

Module 2 – Sept 28 & 29 2024 ~ 10am – 6pm (90 minute lunch break)

Module 2 is only open to people who are enrolled in the TRE certification program to become TRE providers.

In the second module, participants deepen their knowledge and experience of TRE and their facilitation skills, they learn about modifications, Transference and Countertransference and about the role of fascia in the TRE process. They also begin to facilitate the TRE process for each other under supervision. This is an experiential training with a strong focus on how to share TRE with an individual client .

Module 3 – Jan 25 & 26 2025 ~ 10am – 6pm (90 minute lunch break)

In the third module trainees broaden their understanding of the nervous system in relationship to TRE, they practice self and no-touch interventions and they learn about individual and group dynamics. They also begin to facilitate TRE for each other in small groups under supervision. This is an experiential training with a strong focus on how to share TRE in a group setting.

Massage therapists and body workers who complete the program receive 30 CEUs nationally.

LMFTs, LPCCs and/or LEPs in California receive 55 CEUs as required by the Board of Behavioral Sciences.

Certification Total Cost: $3,400

Module 1 + 4 Personal sessions $1,000

Module 2 + 5 Individual Supervision Sessions (you teach TRE to one person) $1,200

Module 3 + 4 Group Supervision Sessions (you teach TRE to a small group) $1,200

Module 1 only (for personal exploration) $450

PAYMENT PLANS AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST.

Cancelation policy and special requests

Full refund minus $100 administration fee 14 days or more before the Module start date. No refund 14 days or less from the Module starting date. Your account balance can be applied to another TRE workshop or training with Maria Alfaro within one year of the Module 1 training. After that date, no refund will be issued. Refunds will be established from any unused modules or supervision sessions minus administrative charges will be issued. Credit Card or PayPal fees will also be deducted from any refund.

About your Trainer

A native Italian and resident of California, Maria is a senior TRE® and Neurogenic Yoga™ Certification Trainer.

Since 2004 she taught TRE to over 20.000 people in the US, in Europe, in Canada, Asia and in the Middle East. She assisted Dr. Berceli, TRE’s founder, in numerous trainings in the United States, South Africa, Brazil and Japan and she facilitated hundreds of public workshops and over 130 certification trainings worldwide.

At the beginning of the COVID pandemic, Maria was part of an international pilot project to take the TRE Certification Program online and she has facilitated online trainings and workshops ever since.

Maria is fluent in English and Italian, and can also supervise training sessions in French, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Her eclectic background includes massage, dance, Chinese martial arts, international business management, acting and improvisational comedy, and decades of teaching yoga.
