A Yoga Workshop Series with John Cottrell, PH.D.Looking for an alternative to traditional talk therapy? Have you ever thought of Yoga Therapy?John Cottrell, Ph.D, RYT 500, is a Certified Yoga Therapist through the International Association of Yoga Therapists. Using his educational background as a psychotherapist and over 20 years experience as a yoga instructor, he has worked with individuals dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, relationships, career choices, and other life management and skill development tools.Work with John Cottrell in a confidential group setting to explore a common life experience: stress and anxiety. Use the art of conversation and active listening combine with the discipline and practice of yoga to resolve some of your life’s challenges. The title of this 4-Week Workshop Series is “Settling the Anxious Mind & Body.” The series will use The Five Anchors as a mechanism to identify and treat the unsettled mind and body. The workshop will also incorporate these exercises into various yoga practices. Unlike other yoga classes, you will have an opportunity to talk about and process your yoga experience then use these tools as ways to further develop and improve your livelihood.Community Awareness Protocol: Upon arriving to The Local Co-Op, you will be greeted by staff and event facilitators wearing masks. When properly distanced in the practice space, the event facilitator will remove their mask to conduct the workshop.Participants are asked to arrive wearing masks. We ask that masks remain on while in the lobby, bathroom, and until properly distanced in the practice space. Adequate distance between each participant in the practice space will be observed. Participants are welcome to remain masked during the event or may remove the mask when properly distanced. We further ask that if you move about the room, go to the restroom, or congregate in the lobby, please wear a mask.You are invited to speak with a TLC Staff Member if you have any questions, specific needs, or requests. Thank you for your cooperation.$200 for entire series. A non-refundable, but transferable, deposit of $50 for this series is due by Monday, October 18th.
